This policy explains how Vorxis ("we", "us") handles your personal data when you use vorxis.xyz.
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, and password (hashed with Argon2id — we never store plain-text passwords) when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google via OAuth 2.0 — we never receive or store your Google password. We also collect usage data automatically: pages visited, panels opened, tickers searched, and connection region selected. This data is used solely to improve the product.
Your information is used to: operate and personalise your terminal session; send transactional emails (beta approval, password reset); diagnose errors and improve performance; and communicate product updates. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Account data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (SOC 2 Type II certified). Passwords are hashed with Argon2id before storage. Sessions are authenticated with short-lived EdDSA JWTs. All data is encrypted in transit via TLS 1.2+. WebSocket connections are authenticated before any data is exchanged.
We use a single session cookie ("better-auth.session_token") to maintain your login state. This cookie is HttpOnly, Secure in production, and SameSite=Lax. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
We use the following third-party services: Google OAuth (authentication, optional); Neon (database hosting); Vercel (frontend hosting); Cloudflare (CDN and DDoS protection). Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing their processing of data.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@vorxis.xyz. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at hello@vorxis.xyz to exercise any of these rights.
Vorxis is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes by email or via an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
